When do I need to hire a lawyer? In Real Estate

What’s going on family? This week’s question is when do I need to hire a lawyer when I’m looking to close out my real estate transaction whether you’re looking to buy or sell?

You need to have your lawyer ready by some lenders and some builders will ask you for your lawyer’s information when during the first few steps when they’re looking to do the initial purchase offer to purchase by you don’t really need the lawyer’s information right away. You want to, of course, make sure you do your homework and find out who you want as your lawyer when the time comes. But you can have a lawyer once the conditions are met and you already get approved for your financing and you’ve done your inspection and such and you’re 100% happy because some lawyers will charge you to open up the file.

Not always most of the time, they will charge you once the transaction is going but some lawyers charge ahead of time. So make sure you watch out for that. And how much does this cost as little as $800 and up so depending on your mortgage amount could be higher. Definitely, I would budget within about 15 to $1,800 on average.
